Weathering the Stormy Sea
Weathering the Stormy Sea
Finding Peace Amidst Life's Turbulence with this Abstract Seascape Painting
Introducing "Weathering the Stormy Sea" by Rik Barwick
I'm thrilled to introduce you to "Weathering The Stormy Sea," an abstract piece born from a particularly challenging day in my life. The coast has always been a place where I feel rejuvenated and at peace. With this painting, I found myself exploring a whirlpool of emotions, channeling that coastal energy through chaotic brush strokes and purposeful splatters. It wasn't until I added the birds that I felt the piece was complete—like finding calm in my own tempest and the sense of fun that is often experienced at the beach - even when the weather is less favourable.
Painting Techniques
In this painting, I unleashed a range of experimental techniques. Each brush stroke, each layer, and each colour choice reflects the complexity and depth of emotions I felt at that moment.
Size & Framing
Multiple sizes are available for you to frame as you wish or there are professional framing options in Oak, White and Black wooden frames.
