X - "Imperfect Impressions" - Letterpress Print in Pink

X is for... - Part of my Imperfect Impressions Collection.

Whilst studying at art school, I always enjoyed blowing up small images way beyond their comfortable enlargement scale. I always enjoyed the level of texture I could create and sense of abstract.

From a distance this looks like a traditionally printed 'X' but up close you can see great texture created in the handprinted process of letterpress printmaking. I printed this originally using a pearlescent acrylic ink which has created a wonderful abstract landscape within the piece.
